Resumen: This article presents the result of the automation of the barter management process in Ecuador. Bartering maintains, promotes and fosters the exchange of products and services without the use of money as an ancestral practice of the peoples and communities of the country. This study is a quantitative, exploratory, documentary, descriptive and field research. The results show that 92% of the targeted population welcome the automation of the process and 98% support the use of technology with regard to these regional ancestral barter practices. Based on these figures, we developed the software "Barter Management" and we embedded it into the Supertienda Ecuador platform. It was developed with the SCRUM agile methodology and with Google Api v3 for georeferencing. Finally, 10 acceptance tests were conducted to validate the software functionality.
