Resumen: Three case studies are proposed to analyze the power of Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) technologies (LoRa, NB-IoT, Sigfox) in outdoor environments in lbarra city, specifically in “El Olivo” Campus at “Universidad Técnica del Norte”. To develop the project, the Okumura-Hata loss model is used in urban, suburban, and rural scenarios through the development and simulation of a graphical interface made in MATLAB software. The developed interface has working sections, such as: input parameters, data analysis and graphical results of power versus distance, and finally, the best LPWAN technology option is evaluated according to the proposed scenario.
