Resumen: Introduction: The application of culturally sensitive educational interventions turn outtobefundamentaltoolsforthepromotionofbreastfeeding,byrecognizingandrespectingthe worldview of each ethnic group, conditions that generate acceptance and communityparticipation with the purpose of improving attitudes that affect well-being maternal-infant. Objective: The purpose of the research is to determine the effectiveness ofculturallysensitiveeducationalinterventionsthatpromotebreastfeedingfromtheprenatal stage in the Cotacachi and Quiroga Health Centers in Imbabura -Ecuador.Materialsandmethods:Thestudyisquantitative,quasi-experimental,withadescriptive, documentary, bibliographic and analytical design, with a cross-sectionalcohort with the purpose of analyzing collected data to identify relevant factors and theeffectivenessoftheeducationalprocess.Results:McNemar'sQuinstatisticaltestcompares the data collected in two periods; in this case, it contributes to demonstratingthe effectiveness of educational tactics in promoting breastfeeding, as it demonstrates asignificant difference in the change in attitudes of the population from ignorance toknowledge. Conclusions: Educational interventions adapted to the cultural context ofeach group demonstrate a positive impact on the level of knowledge of breastfeeding inpregnantwomen, preparingthem to facethechallengesof motherhood.
