Resumen: The problem of concern for the privacy of information in virtuality (PPIV) has generated worldwide uncertainty regarding the handling of user data by Web platforms. The objective is to know the concerns that university students feel about their virtual data while browsing the Internet by analyzing the reasons not to worry (RNP), actions taken (AT), reasons not to take action (RNTA). This non-experimental, inferential quantitative research used the master class as a methodological strategy for the explanation of topics immersed in the instrument. 300 students from the Universidad Técnica del Norte located in Ibarra - Ecuador participated. 87.8% are concerned about the privacy of their data, only 56% take action, the use of antivirus being common, they are unaware of computer security terms and techniques. The indifference to the issue of information privacy was outstanding.
