Resumen: Scientific dissemination is changing strategies at getting adapted to new communication dynamics arisen from Internet and social networks boom. This work aims to analyze the dissemination strategies of scientific journals from Técnica del Norte University. This research is carried out from the qualitative paradigm and represents a cross-sectional descriptive study. The visibility variable is analyzed on the incidence of independent variables, dissemination in traditional media, own website, online platform presence, academic social networks profile, Facebook profile and on Twitter profile. For the data collection, the literature review was done using the research paper manager Mendeley and searching online frequently social network sites by the scientific journals according to the literature review, interviews were also conducted to the journals editors. As a result, it was found that the strategy for the visibility of scientific journals studied is limited to the university website and in some cases to academic social networks such as Researchgate and Academia.edu, Facebook and Twitter although there is still a lot be done to increase the visibility on digital platforms of science topics.
